@pridetoronto, @LEVIS & @HMilkFoundation presents the Pride 2016 Collection
As a long Canada’s first-ever Pride Month will launch on June 1, 2016, featuring extended programming and provocative events throughout the city, culminating with the much anticipated annual Pride Parade, July 3. Pride Month will begin with its inaugural city proclamation and the raising of the Rainbow flag at Toronto City Hall, set to occur for the first-time at the beginning of June.
In a year of so many milestones within the LGBTQ community, we’re excited to introduce you to Levi’s first global Pride collection for 2016, in partnership with the Harvey Milk Foundation.
As a long-standing ally to the LGBTQ community, this is Levi’s third Pride Collection and marks the first time the collection will be carried globally. Hitting stores in June, the five-piece gender-neutral collection will commemorate the legacy of one of history’s most courageous and pioneering individuals while celebrating the LGBTQ community. In addition, a portion of the proceeds of the collection will support the Harvey Milk Foundation in their efforts of creating a world where all individuals, without exception, are afforded the same, equal human rights.
As you can see below, the collection embraces the nostalgia of the Levi’s brand and infuses distinct design details pulled from pivotal historic moments from Harvey Milk’s election and his courage, passion and sense of justice.
