(@danliutatsuaki) World MasterCard Fashion Week at David Pecaut Square now wrapped, but here is another preview for another runway show I attended on Day 4.
At Tatsuaki, designer Dan Liu unveiled another feminine yet cool line which paid tribute to his Chinese and Japanese heritage. Something about his collection just struck me and all the looks he featured in his shows are actually pieces that I would love to have in my closet.
On the runway, Dan Liu's collection consisted of softly flowing fabrics, rich floral prints and hints of bold red and black on structured patterned frocks. Dan Liu still showcased his love of ladylike detail, a flared, puffy skirt in a brilliant burgundy hue made a splash with a charming over-sized bow (which somehow blended in, I normally hate big bow but his look changed my perspective).
This is one of my favourite looks from the show:
The show wrapped in true dramatic fashion, with a burst of confetti as models strutted playfully down the runway. (I have a video of this which will be posted at the end of this week... stay tuned)
