Pinky Paradise (Vassen Rainbow Eyes Light Greenish) Product Review

After a long time, this is actually a product review! From the circle lenses website called Pinky Paradise. I did indeed conduct a product review on this website during March, but once again I was contact by the company to tr out of their new lenses called Vassen Rainbow Eyes. So, here is my review on them!

Just a quick side note that this review is based on my personal experience and 110% honest opinion.
Here is a quick info of Pinky Paradise from their website.
Besides eye makeup, choosing best circle lenses is the top priority of everyone to cast a gorgeous look at others. However it may be difficult for many to "choose" a brand of your lenses in this competitive market. Here I am going to review an online store "Pinky Paradise" from where you can make a confident purchase without any fear or hesitation.
Pinky Paradise has largest collection of circle lenses in all the hit and lovely colors for instance blacks, brown, greys, blues, pinks, violets, greens etc. See the product details
here. You can choose even from the variety of brands at PinkyParadise that give different hot looks to your eyes.
The store also sells
contact lenses accessories, eye makeup, face makeup and hair accessories. Shipment is done through Fedex and you may receive your goods just with in 4 to 7 working days.
For the product review I chose the do a review on (Vassen Rainbow Eyes Light Greenish) Contact Lenses.

Item details
Price: $23.90
Diameter: 14.5mm
Water Content: 42%
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Type: 1 Year Disposal
What inside: One pair of lenses and one cutie animal lens case

And down below are photos of me wearing them. Also, for these pictures I decided not to put any makeup on to emphasis more on the lenses rather than the eyes.
Usually wearing contact lenses is part of my daily routine, but instead of wearing coloured lenses I usually stick to clear. However, after giving Vassen Rainbow Eyes Light Greenish I decided to change my mind and I definitely can't wait to rock these lenses with my back to school routine. To be frank, I have never been a fan of mixing colouring when it comes to lenses. Since my mind usually give me a negative vibe about the overall out come. But thanks to Pinky Paradise I ended up taking a small risk by choosing this coloured lenses. Overall, The colour is so settled in normal lighting and that's perfect for daily wear. The lenses are really comfortable and they doesn't dry out fast like my regular contact lenses. Plus, it comes with a cute animal case. Furthermore, I would recommend this company and this Vassen Rainbow Eyes Light Greenish contact lenses to everyone, since I am happy customer.
Also, the members of Pinky Paradise was so sweet enough to make create a coupon code for you (my readers) :
 1. Customers entitle a FREE cute animal lens case PLUS mystery gifts
2. The coupon code can be stacked, If you purchase 3 pairs, you will get 3 lens case plus 3 mystery gifts.
3. A minimum of 1 lens purchased to activate the code.
4. The code has no expired dates :)

Have fun shopping!

Also, I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend!

FTC: Pinky Paradise sponsored the (Vassen Rainbow Eyes Light Greenish) for my honest review. I was not compensated to make this entry and this is 100% my honest opinion.

Back To School: Study Tips

At this particular moment right now, I am going through so many emotions and stress. In a weird way I feel as if I wasted my summer break with my vacation without taking any summer school and in another way I feel as if I took advantage of my cousins wedding to spend my summer back home. As mentioned early, it's a pretty weird feeling where I ain't sure what to appreciate and what to feel as my lost. All of theses weird feelings are occurring due to my Back 2 School stress. Even thing about it makes me stress out! There are so many things to plan out starting with picking the right courses, pay the tuition fee on time, finding the books, purchasing and selling the books, buying school supplies, and etc (literally the list is nonstop).Even though I have been in school since the age of three the excitment of going Back 2 School hasn't changed. Hopefully it stays the same until I get my Ph.D.

Now on to today's post....
Since may of my readers and viewers are all going to school, I decided to write on post of
"My Study Tips"
I know each of us are unique with different study habits and so I decided to share my way to you all.
"Like to mention that this is the way I study and each of us have an unique way of our own"
With out anything else to do ... here are my seven tips!

"My 7 Study Tips"
1) Jot ideas down
Usually, when I am doing my reading for my classes I randomly get some ideas, questions about the readings. And somehow jotting them down comes extremely helpful while studying for exams or even writing a paper. Since they open up more brief details on the class.
2) Review your notes as soon as you get home
Each day, as soon as I get home I try my best to review my notes. Since I have most math in my schedule, I don't have a choice. However, this is a good habit that would help you remember your day's lesson. Plus, it would be helpful when you study for your finals.
3) Prepare you study sessions
Just planning a schedule is a good habit that will help you be focus, plus have a study session will help to organize all your courses.
4) Plan short, but more study sessions
Having short study sessions is better than having long boring sessions. Since long study sessions will eventually make you to loss focus and eventually give you bad results.
5) Study according to your mood
Your mood makes a huge effect on the way you study. If you are happy the more successful study sessions, but if your mood is dull or even depressed your study sessions are fully ruined. So, while studying make sure to have a health mood.
6) Set goals that are achievable
Setting goals is a good thing, but we need to make sure that we are able to reach with it. So, setting goals that are achievable is easily be reached.
7) Take time or even days off from studying
I would definitely take time off from studying to relax myself. Sometime, I end up taking a day off to help my mind and mood get back to normal.

Well, these are "My 7 Study Tips"
Hopefully, you all agree with my tips, if not it's already!
Since I said in the beginning we are all unique in our own ways!
Be free to let me know and if you have any questions

Well, have a lovely Sunday Everyone!
And to those who have already started school or will be going back to school this year - Good Luck!

Back To School: Outfits & Hair Styles (Featuring Jolie Moi)

It`s almost time to back to school, by now many you may have started but here in Canada, we start school after Labour Day. So, until September 4th everyone is literally running around trying to finish their school shopping. Plus, for me the best part is that I start school on September 10th one week after everyone else. As last year, I wanted to do a post on "Back 2 School: Your Questions & My Answers, however this year I got a lot of emails regarding outfit ideas to school. To be frank, I ain't the best fashion expert, however I decided to create a collage with three looks that I would eventually wear to school. Even though, I would ended up wearing jeans and sweaters most of the time. There I times and days where I choose to be myself, which isn't often, but in those I dress up. Also, maybe of you asked about what makeup I wear to school on regular bases. I decided not to include that in the collage, since I rarely wear makeup to school and if I do it's usually black eyeliner and lip gloss. Plus, I don't have a routine for it either. Other than that, here is my top three looks for Back 2 School.
All clothing items from Jolie Moi

Outfit 1: Modern Preppy
Jacket (Black Jacket With Leather Look Panels)
Dress (Grey Oversized Dress with Diagonal Zip)
Handbag (Patchwork Leather Shopper Bag)
Outfit 2: Tomboy Chic
Cropped Top (Black Web Mesh Gathered Waist Top)
Trousers (Brown Checked Slim Trouser with Baggy pocket)
Outfit 3: Inner Girliness
Sheer Blouse (Black Blouse With Metallic Gold Spots)
Pleated Skirt (Baby Blue Pleated Mini)

As mentioned these are my top three looks for school and hope you all like it.

Also, I would love to know how you dress to school or even work?

Be free to let me know and if you have any questions
please free to {}
Also, this is NOT a sponsored post!

Well, have a lovely Thursday Everyone!
And to those who have already started school or will be going back to school this year - Good Luck!

Update On My World & DIY: Dainty Rings

It's being a while since I did a journal post, so without anything further to here is my life's update.
On the collage above, there are ten photos of what I have been up too and what I still have left to do.

Here is the list:
1) Going through some of my old notes, before school starts - getting prepared is better than feeling stressed out when school starts.
2) Pinky Paradise Product Review - Coming Soon.
3) Random Magazines to read to get some inspiration - usually when school starts I ended up putting all my thoughts into math, so getting some ideas for future posts.
4) My recent drawing - who knows I might actually make this dress one day (plus, the colours are inspired by my prom dress).
5) Rearranged all my jewellery - who know maybe one day I will do a "jewellery organizational" post.
6) My "fall time" schedule for the upcoming school semester - sadly, I have only one day off from my schedule, but it's better than nothing.
7) Cleaned up my room and quick view of it.
8) The sun is sunshine bright and my neighbourhood looks awesome.
9) Plus, I found a perfect place to keep my teddy bear - this is part of cleaning up my room and no I will not be conducting a room tour anything soon.
10) Finally, posting a updated post of my world on blogger.

Also, I am working on a new segment based on all my readers and followers questions and I hope this would be a way for me to interact with you all... I am actually interested for this segment - can't wait!

Also, here is a quick little DIY Project I did over the week!
Well, that's my life's update - now!
That's all for now and take care!

With love,

DIY: {Colourful} Heartbeat Necklace

This week has been a hectic and to take off my mind I decided to create something. Surprisingly, I ended up making a {Colourful} Heartbeat Necklace.
Since, I like the result a lot, I decided to share this DIY Project with all of you.

For this DIY Project you will need the following tools:
- chain with clasp
- plier
- scissor
- wire
- paint (not included on the collage)

Here are the steps:
Step 1) Cut a piece of the wire with the scissor, the wire can be cut to any size that you prefer. Then use the plier to shape the wire into heartbeat rates with leaving an inch of straight wire at the begin and the end.
Step Optional 2) If you like you can paint the wire with any colour of your choice. As for me I decided to make it mutlicoloured.
Step 3) Then make loop on ends of the heartbeat wire and attach the chain to it on both sides. After this step you are officially done.

Now you can wear this {Colourful} Heartbeat Necklace anywhere you want!

Hope you all like this DIY Project and let me know what you think about the {Colourful} Heartbeat Necklace.

Also, if you want to check out my past DIY Project by click on the highlighted letter or even click on the Creative side tab on top of this page.

Enjoy your summer vacation, which is almost coming to an end soon.

{Only} 36 MORE Days To Go & DIY: Boho Daisies Headband

Summer is almost over, even thinking about it makes my head hurt. In exactly thirty six days I will be heading back to university. I will be back to hit my books. Even thought this summer I have an amazing vacation, I really wish I could have completed at least one summer course, to reduce my courses for the coming semester. Oh well, now it's too late, so without any complains I am planning to spend my next few days having fun under the sun.

Also, I don't know if many of you remember, but before heading on my vacation I mentioned that I my work was published on two magazines. Even though i got to see one of them, the other one I had to wait since it was in print. Overall, the wait was worth waiting, since the magazine looks stunning and I am excited to announcing that article looks stunning and here is a quick look I promised!!

Moda de la Mode Magazine: Issue 2

Plus,  my work got published on Lilly Magazine and I wasn't really expecting this article to get published all, but to my surprise it got chosen! For this magazine I helped out by creating a collage for "In The Closet of Lisa" and also I wrote a inspiration posted based on the quote, "Happiness Leads To Success". To check them out click on the photo below.

Lilly Magazine: Issue 1

Furthermore, as promised here is the "Travel - Clothing Haul" and as mentioned it a quick haul.

Also,  I recently promised on of my readers that I would do a DIY project on how to create a "Boho Floral Headband". So, yesterday I ended up creating one right away and I am extremely proud of the out come. I can't wait to pair it up with a cute summer dress. For this DIY, all I had to do was just sow on the flowers on the headband on my cases, all the daisies.

Hope you like this quick and easy DIY as always!

This literally a quick post, since I am glued into my television watching the Olympics, "Go Canada"

Enjoy your Sunday!

Escape To Sri Lanka : Part 4

This is officially my last entry to my "Travel Journal Series".
This chapter is about my trip to Colombo, Nilaveli, Trincomalee and Batticaloa.

After a long road trip, we began our search for a hotel to stay in for the night. The search was tougher than what all of us expected. However, during the search we came across two brand new temples that are being built. Both temples looked so unique and they were both dedicated to two different gods.

Three blocks away from the temples, we finally found a hotel and it was right beside the Nilaveli Beach. So, for the night we ended up booking two rooms, one for the guys and one or the girls. Since we were all tired we hit the bed right away. The next morning after having breakfast we headed to Nilaveli Beach. This beach was so unique and there was something weird about the waves.

After that we hit the road to get back home, however this time we took the other road rather than the one we came from. One our way we ended up in Batticaloa.

At Batticaloa we went to visit the old fort and also saw the “Batticaloa Gate”. Plus, my dad also took us to the Pasikudah Beach. This area were the beach is located is now an developing site with tons of tourists. Pasikudah Beach looked so amazing that I ended up jumping into the water without even realizing it. When I got to my senses it was too late and even ended up get a bad sunburn. However, the water was wonderful, but very salty.

After the long swim, we got back into the vehicle and went straight back to Colombo. By eleven at night we ended up home safe and sound. The next day, we took as break and just stayed home.  After that, the on July 27 we got packed, visited my cousins, aunts and uncles said our goodbyes and headed straight to the airport.

My airplane ride isn’t something I want to talk about because I ended up being so sick that I was under the care of an airhostess. (She was so sweet; she took good care of me – Thank you so much). On July 28th I landed on Canada’s soil and everything is back to where it all began.

Before ended this series...
here is a quick look at all the cool, interesting and new fruit and food items I ate in Sri Lanka.

The End!

Hope you enjoyed my  "Travel Journal Series"!

Well, that’s all, since this is the end of the "Travel Journal Series" and I haven’t decided but I might do a Travel Haul. I didn’t shop a lot but still I ended up buying stuff throughout the trip. So, hopefully tmmr I will do a quick haul - maybe.

Take care and enjoy the warm weather.

Love,
Harija Ravi

Escape To Sri Lanka : Part 3

This is officially my forth entry to my "Travel Journal Series".
This chapter is about my trip to Sigiriya and Trincomalee.

During my last week stay in Sri Lanka my parents decided to us to go on a long road trip to Trincomalee. So, we all woke up early in the morning at around 4 in the morning and went on the road trip. The ride was extremely long, so my dad got a driver, so they could take turns driving. So, on the way to our destination we ended up stopping at a restaurant to have breakfast. The food looked great as usually, but I ended up having some small snacks and coffee to boost up my energy. After having a quick bit to eat, we just got back in the car and kept on going for a very long time. The roads were smooth until we hit half of the trip, the roads are all broken down due to construction. Due to that it was a bumpy ride, and yes I did have a back pain. Well, during the road trip we ended up stopping at the town called Sigiriya. Sigiriya is the town where the famous, Lion’s Rock is located. The mountain is a work of art by Mother Nature.

Also, right beside the Lion’s Rock is a Buddhist temple, which includes a white “Giant Buddha”.  The temple staffs were so nice, that he allowed me to take photos at the temple.

After making an unexpected stop at Sigiriya, we got back on our vehicle and headed to our destination, Trincomalee. After a few hours, we end up at Trincomalee and as we entered into the city my parents first decided to take us to a place called Kanniya Hot Wells. Kanniya Hot Well is an amazing natural site, the  Kanniya Hot wells are reputed as one of the 7 wonders of Sri Lanka. This place has Seven hot wells. Water is in different temperatures. The place is located in Kanniya, 7 km away from Trincomalee town. It is also 1km inside from the main road of Anuradhpaura to Trincomalee. People believe that bathing in these well will refresh them. This is one of the historical places of Trincomalee district.”. (this quote is from a wikipedia). The Hot Wells are so unique; since each of the seven wells contains hot water and all of them are in different temperature. I ended up washing my face and legs with the warm water. If I was younger I would have taken a shower, but since there were tons of people I literally felt shy about it. Maybe next time, I should take a large group of girls with me, so I don’t feel alone.

After spending some time Kanniya Hot Wells, we got back on to the vehicle and headed to Thirukoneswaram Temple located in Trincomalee. The temple is so beautiful, as soon as we got there, we were in trip for the pooja; which was amazing. My mom told me that it’s good that we got there in time for the prayers. After the prayers, we went on a long walk through the temple. The temple was filled with tons of rock paintings and statues; I just got crazy and kept on snapping photos.

Right beside the temple is the “Ravana Cut”, this is a mythological story for my Hindu culture. The story is “Legends of the Hindu epic Ramayana note that the King Ravana and his mother had worshipped Shiva at the shrine, and the former wanted to remove the temple of Koneswaram when his mother was in ailing health circa 2000 BCE. As he was heaving the rock, Lord Shiva made him drop his sword. As a result of this a cleft was created on the rock, which today is called Ravana Vettu - meaning Ravana's Cleft. (this quote is from a wikipedia). Surprisingly, as we were looking at the “Ravan Cut”, we stopped a cobra snake slithering his way through the rocks. It was pretty creepy, but cool and yes I did take photos of it. However didn’t want to share them since some of you may feel uncomfortable of them, like for instance my sister.

After that experience, we all just headed on a search to finding a hotel to stay for the night.

Well, that’s all for today! Hope you all enjoy this chapter, tomorrow I will follow up on how the search for a hotel went and what happened. Also, the next post will be the last chapter of the "Travel Journal Series".

Take care and enjoy the warm weather.
And yes, today is Friday!

Love,
Harija Ravi

Escape To Sri Lanka : Part 2

This is officially my third entry to my "Travel Journal Series".
This chapter is about three different cities Colombo, Jaffna and Hikkaduwa all located in Sri Lanka.

The next day right after having the huge lunch at Lavinia Beach, my dad booked us tickets to travel to Jaffna on a bus. There I got to an opportunity to go through some old memories especially my parents. I got an opportunity to see my dad’s old sports stadium, school, library and etc. Plus, my mom told tons of stories, which were all special and unforgettable events.

Furthermore, I even meet some of my old childhood friends and even attended some religious events. Also, at that time I got to visit my favourite ice cream place of all, Rio Ice Cream. They haven’t changed a bit at all. My family and I ended up having some ice cream and they were so yummy. I will definitely visit it again in the near future, just for the ice cream.

During my one week stay in Jaffna, I ended us becoming allergy to some rare milk product and also to some random fruit, which made my lips swell. Also, I ended up getting rare rashes around my lips (it sucked).

After my one week in Jaffna, my uncle gave us a ride back to Colombo. Since I was really ill with my rare allergies, my uncle and parents decided it will be better to go home on our own vehicle rather than taking the bus. However, get back to Colombo, my dad took me to a skin doctor, where he ended up giving me two different pills and also three different cream; and to my surprise I ended up get cured in two days. After that incident I started to be more caution about the things around me.

Well, two days later my parents decided to take my siblings, grandmother and me to HIkkaduwa to take swim on the beach. So, for this trip my dad decided to drive there himself and it was such a good idea; since the Sri Lanka highways was so empty that the travel time was only two hours. As soon as we got to our destination, we ended up having lunch at Hikkaduwa Beach Hotel and the best part was that while the food was getting prepared we all got to have a swim. Overall, we ended up spend one whole day there, but got back in time by ten at night.

The next day for lunch, my dad took us all to the Golden Mile beach with an old family friend. This time we needed up having lunch at The Golden Mile restaurant. The food there was amazing and the weather was so cool that it made things even better.

Well, that’s all for now, this specific travel posts consists of ten days of my trip.

Until then, this is the end of chapter two and still more to come!

Take care and enjoy the warm weather.

Love,
Harija Ravi

Escape To Sri Lanka : Part 1

This is officially my second entry to my "Travel Journal Series".
This chapter is about Colombo, Sri Lanka.

On July 5th at around eleven in the morning, my family, grandparents, aunt, uncle and I headed to the airport to take our flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka.  Sharp at three we got on our plane to head to our destination. When we landed in Colombo, Sri Lanka we headed to straight home and spend the rest of the day just relaxing. The next morning my dad took us to an ice cream cafe called “Barista” and oh man they had so much to offer. Still I needed up picking chocolate mousse, whereas my siblings chose the black forest. Ice cream in the morning was the best, it fully boost me up for the next few days.

After that, my parents took us to my cousins place even thought the car ride was quite far, it was worth it. I had fun meeting my cousins again after two year. Last year, I meet in Chennai, India and this year we meet again but in a different country. My cousins live beside the seaside and since it was a little bit cool that day, they took us to their balcony to see the sea. Up on the balcony the sea view was so amazing and I don’t know how, but ended up staying there until the evening.  Plus, I got to see the sunset and thank god I had my camera handy at that particular time.

The next day, my dad took us to a restaurant beside the beach called Lavina Breeze. There the food was amazing. My sister, grandma and I chose the best dish in the menu; it consists of everything; from chicken, lamb, crab, beef, prawns and etc. It was the best, since we got to have a taste of everything. Plus to it all went well with my fresh lime juice, it was sour but tasted amazing. After that huge meal we just went straight back home for the night.

Well, that’s all for now, this specific travel posts consists of four days of my travel period and about sixteen more days to go.

Until then, this is the end of chapter two and still more to come!

Take care and enjoy the warm weather.

Love,
Harija Ravi
