DIY: Antique Trouble Ring

To start off the mini series of "Stackable Rings", so here is the first DIY Project.

My first DIY Project is the "Antique Trouble Ring":

Here are the steps:

Step 1: First get an old pendant and place super glue on the back end of it.

Step 2: Then, place the ring on the glue and hold it in place for a few seconds until it is able to stand up by itself.
Step 3: Then finally, adjust the ring for your ring's size
Step 4: Optional - if you want to give the ring character, colour it black with a marker (as I did - which is not shown on the photo)

Simple as three steps that's all!

Time OFF & Stackable Rings (5 DIY Projects Promo)

Hello to all my lovely readers & followers,

If you follow me on twitter you would already know what this post is about, but for those who don't here is a little preview for the next two to three weeks on My Lyfe ; My Story.

It's already that time of the year where my blood pressure and stress reaches the maximum level, where my head is literally about to pop off. It's almost finals and only two more weeks of classes. Literally, the biggest hectic week of the school year in my point. So, as usually these are the few weeks I disappear, however this year I want to do something different. It is by posting so preplanned posts (all related to the topic of this post). As I mentioned early at the beginning of this post, if you already follow me on twitter you would know that last week I worked on some DIY tutorials, and surprising everything thing turned out well; even better than planned. Plus, it's one of the biggest trend for spring 2012 and also, stackable bracelets are also famous but there are many amazing youtube videos dedicated to them already.

Also, a quick note to remember: yes, I did create a youtube channel since many of my viewers wanted to visually see some tutorials. However, I like to mention that this blog is my main platform and I am not planning on spending time with making videos or anything special yet. I feel as just filming takes up more time (I recently experienced the pressure, in some of my DIY tutorials). But, in the future, I will try my best to put more effort in them and try to make the videos more creative. To do all the special creative stuff, I need time and that something I barely have at the moment. So, I hope you all understand what I am getting to. Furthermore, I was supposed to conduct a giveaway this month, but due to school I have been able to post it up yet. However, i will posted it up next month and for this giveaway I will have more than one winner (from six to ten winners and yes it will be international). Moreover, I also have been giving the offer to team up with an online company to do a outfit of the day post (this will be a new turning point for my blog and I excited to work with this company). So, that was my quick heads up post.

For so the next three weeks, I will post up five DIY projects as part of the Stackable Rings series. I hope you all enjoy it and here is a quick preview on what to expect.

SPRING has SPRUNG 2012 & DIY: Bib Necklace

It's official! 

SPRING has SPRUNG! 

I don't about many of you. but I would love to get over the messy wet weather. Yes, I know this year 2012 many of us forget what it's like to have snow on our front porch. However, the messy, gloomy rain storms started to make me crave for some sun and some warmer weather. So, instead of wearing some nude and shade shaded outfits, I could official include some colours. Yes, I know that many of you will give me a different answer for my recent statement. But, what I was referring to was the fact that, when the weather is warmer people (like me) tend to dress around to it rather than trying to force ourselves to play the part. Overall, my whole argument is that weather has a huge impact on how we feel and how we face the day (As always my post of the excitement of spring has changed it's track into weather and feelings).

It's a new season of 2012 and I can't wait to start going through my wardrobe for some spring items.

Since spring 2012 is officially here ... this is a quick DIY to start of the fashion side of spring...

The tools for this DIY are listed on the collage... for this tutorial, all you need to do is add the loop to one of the chain and also to one end of the crochet pattern. Then you need to add the clasp to one end of the chain and the other one to the end of the crochet pattern. This is an simple and quick little DIY. Also, since it's a brand new season, I decided to create a creative welcome card for "Spring 2012" and it's a colourful sketch!

Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow

Reality hurts, however dreams don't 

(and that's  a well known fact that can never be proven wrong). 

As, we all face each day, we go through many emotions. 

Some good and some bad! 

But sadly, the bad tends to stick around for awhile, sometimes even forever. 

These bad thoughts, memories tends to get rid off all the happiness that one may have. 

Instead of being excited for tomorrow, 

some are just afraid to face what's today, 

because of what happened yesterday. 

So, learn to enjoy each day, as if it's the last! 

 Just remember, that just because you have today doesn't mean you will always have tomorrow! 

So, let all the pain, stress, depression all fly away as you enjoy each day with love and excitement.

I always believe red/wine coloured lenses were meant for Halloween, but I took my words back as soon I got a chance to try out the Pinky Paradise's (Super Pinky Wine Brown). The colour is so vibrant and it looks red (wine red) in normal lighting, but as soon as you go out in nature light the look stunning brown. The lenses are really comfortable. I am actually planning on buying more (Super Pinky Contact Lenses Collection) from Pinky Paradise. Plus, it doesn't dry out fast like my regular contact lenses.
