DIY: Scarf Necklace

Another month of 2012 has flown away, however this month is special since it has an each day added to the calendar. So, to end this month of well, I decided to do a DIY post. This DIY Project was planned months ago (literally during the winter break). Overall, this is a quick way of revamp your old scarf into something new. Also, instead of using an old scarf you can just use any fabric you want with a short width and a long length. The measurement is all up to you.

This tutorial is going to help you recycle something old into something trendy and new. I got this inspiration through a random magazine. I hope you all enjoy this DIY Project. 

For this tutorial all you need is an old scarf or a piece of fabric, a pendant, some chain pieces and small circle hoops or clams to close the chains together.

Here are the steps:
Step 0: Get a pieces of fabric you want with a short width and a long length. The measurement is all up to you.

Step 1: First get a set of chains and place you pendant on it. The chain can be any size you want it to be; in my chase I chose one which is seven cm long and then wrapped around the pendant three times to secure it strong. Also, for the chains to close well used a clam or circle hoops.

Step 2: Next, Loop the pendant's wrapped chain into the scarf and place it in the middle on the scarf.
Step 3: Now, decorate both the ends of the scarf by creating a strong knot. Once again uses chains to wrap around the knot as a decoration and also, for the chains to close well used a clam or circle hoops.

Simple as three steps that's all!

I love these lashes! I never really wore lashes in my life however I actually have a very own set of  false eyelashes I brought at Ardene's, but sadly I never really wore them. It's still brand new in it's pink shiny box. The package contained four specific items: 20 Pairs Eyelash: 10 Natural Eyelashes + 10 Thick Black Eyelashes; 1 Piece White Colour Eyelash Glue & 1 Piece Eyelashes Applicator. The first product that I would like to talk about is the 10 Natural Eyelashes, I love the this set. It's really soft and it's really simple designed. It's doesn't look to dramatic and can be wore daily to any occasions. The second product is the 10 Thick Black Eyelashes, the thick dark black lashes are really long and it looks heavy but it's isn't. It has no weight at all, but it's so dark and thick. Thickness is nice, since it has a dramatic effect. However, this specially eyelashes are meant for those specific occasion; where you need you eyes to pop of as the main attraction and believe me it does. Then finally the package came with 1 Piece White Colour Eyelash Glue & 1 Piece Eyelashes Applicator these two items are really useful. At first I didn't find the use of the 1 Piece Eyelashes Applicator but after I used it for a trial it was really helpful.

Overall, I love the kit that I received to review from Born Pretty Store and I have a feeling that I will be shopping on this website more often in the near future.

Time Rushed

Just a random piece about my past week to answer some readers questions & concerns!

Time Rushed! 

It what this past week was all about!  

This past week was my supposed to be my reading week and it was. However to my surprise it's all over in a blink of an eye. I can't believe that it's already Saturday, which mean that eventually on Monday I will be back in the lecture halls. I am not against school or education. I love school and especially to learn new thing to increase my knowledge. However the thought of been back in class literally gives me the chills. Mainly, cause the moment I step in foot to my first lecture on Monday, I have my fifty percent worth midterm. That itself is the main source of problem. Sadly, I have to face it, if I want to graduate and great my degree in two years. Well, literally this is just a mental down post! I literally have this mental down most of the time. So, this is a message to all my lovely readers that you are not alone. When it comes to school we are stressed out about midterms, finals, assignments, presentations and many more. Even for those who work, also go through the same emotional stages. However, it's all about how each of keep ourselves to keep and positive mind and good thoughts. For instance, for me my main source of stress is formed due to school, however the fact that I will be earning a degree keeps me to be more positive and focused to look ahead to the bright future than being struck in the present. So, I hope post is very helpful for you to understand that apart of being a human is to feel the emotions of being stressed out as if time is going faster than expected.

Since in reality that's life! 

Life goes fast, it doesn't wait for anyone. 

If you want to get somewhere in life you need to be positive and catch the right train. 

And catching the right train is just the beginning. 

After the catching the train is where the whole adventure of life starts! 

You will be heading towards high mountains and deep dark tunnels.

It's all about how you hold on to the train until you come to your destination.

It's a long and tiring process, but the outcome is worth wild.

Socks 4 Life Review and Giveaway ((ENDED)

This spring I want to wear knee high socks with heels or Mary-Jane. So, for a change I decided to do a product review for a website called "Sock 4 Life".

For Women's Vintage Tube Knee Socks.  These are so cute and such a bargain at $2.95 that I got the one in purple & grey.

 This pair of socks are machine washable, made in China and are made of 85% acrylic, 10% nylon, 5% spandex.  They're basically a girly, trendier version of those tube socks your dad used to wear. I was impressed that these are long enough to really be over-the-knee on me, since I'm 5'3"  (I am really short).   Thanks to the super-stretchy fabric, these may be a better choice if you have larger calves.  There are so comfortable and I love the colour, so planning to get more in the near future.

Overall, I love the quality of the lens and would definitely will be purchasing more from them (I already have some in mind). Even though I have a very dark brown coloured eyes, the lens were able to make eye pop out and change my eye colour. The black rim on the lens design had enlarged my eyes as well, plus it makes my eyes pop even without any makeup on. Furthermore, it is really easy to apply and does not dry out at all to my surprise. I am really in love with this colour and with this online store, Uniqso.com.

"CRUSHED" Me!

Recently one of my fellow followers asked me about the "signs" of how to know if a guy likes you. 

Well, I am not an expert at this love factor. 

To be frank, I am one of the worst person to answer this question. 

However, I decided to give it a shot to answer this question. 

Quick note: before getting the courage to write this post, I actually confronted a few of my guy friends to help me create a list. 

Therefore, together (as a group) we divided the list into three topics or in this case, three signs.

Here are the three signs:

1) Wide Eyes
- a guy's pupil naturally show evidence when a guy is checking out something or someone he is interested in.

2) Copy-Cate
- this action is seen when you're having a deep conversation with the gu and somehow you're both in the same gesture. In other words, just watch his movements, like notice to see if he is lean in, trying to come close to you or most importantly if he is mimicking you body language.

3) Cute Nickname
- if he calls you in a cute nickname and there's a chance that you mean something special to him. (my guy friends told me that this is one of there most important type of sign) Also, he would hate it if someone else, especially another guys refers to you with the exact nickname.

Low Focus Syndrome

Just a random piece about something I felt and saw =)

Trying my best to concentrate on my review, for next weeks midterms. To have a better concentration, I worked so hard and even battled it out to get a seat in the library. Lucky for me, I got a seat right beside the big windows (picture show below). Yeah RIGHT! Lucky ehh! This luck ended up to be the biggest epic fail. Instead of studying my notes, I ended up staring at through the windows. It was snowing outside! It was a beautiful view. My battle for the seat ended me towards procrastination. However, since I love snow, I found it amusing. I enjoyed watching the slow, but fast process  of the sky turning dark. Plus, watching the snow cover all the pre-fall green dried grass looked priceless. Each second staring at the window seemed to be so relaxing. However, without my knowledge the time seemed to go fast. Instead of taking notes of my readings, I am writing a post on the snowfall. I feel as is I let myself down at this moment but still I feel as if I gained something else. Something wonderful and unique! I know by now many of you are like, "this girl is becoming crazy each day". In fact, it's true! I am! Instead of feeling ashamed, I am proud of it;since, you don't get to see what I see or feel how I feel. Overall, the whole point of this piece is to remind everyone, that once in a while it's fun to put down everything around and just relax, It's fun to stop everything for a moment, as if the Earth just stopped rotation. Feel that specific moment and let me tell you, that just that one second could change your life forever. It has a huge impact and you wouldn't believe me until you have tried it for yourself.

It's another brand new month of 2012! 

This time it's all about love and roses (i guess - I am not a huge fan of it, however, since I am a contributor to Brest Cancer Society this month means so much to me and many more out there).

When and how did “Luscious Accessories” get started? 

It started about a year ago when I decided I wanted share my love for fashion and unique accessories. I have always been the type reading blogs and fashion magazines with the latest fashion trends. I started doing research on opening my own business and decided to take the plunge.

Is there a story behind your name “Luscious Accessories”?

Actually there is, I named my business after my cat lol. Her name is Luscious (also nickname "Lulu"). I was looking thinking for about a month what I can name my store, and I really wanted a name that meant a lot to me. One day I was sitting on my sofa with all my papers and information for my business and my cat decided to sit right now top of them, and that when it hit me. That where the name Luscious Accessories came.

What makes "Luscious Accessories" unique? 

Well I believe that what I provide is passion to the customers. I’m not a business that cares solely on revenue. I search hard for the most popular and unique accessories, I just don't have anything on the site. I do my research and then provide my customers with affordable prices. I really care about what customers have to say and how they feel. I love receiving emails with their satisfaction and comments. I am constantly asking for feedback. I want that personal relationship with them and I’m so happy that so far that is what I have.

Do you have any plans of starting a clothing line and if so, what are some of your inspirations for your clothing line?

I don’t have a clothing line yet, but my inspiration for my accessories and fashion jewellery is the customers and celebrities. I don't only look for fashion trends within the United States but also Asia. I love Asian fashion and a lot of my jewellery is inspired from there and US.

What are your price rangers?

My price range is from $6.00 to $15.00. I try to keep everything very affordable for my customers.

What's in the future for "Luscious Accessories"?

There is soooo much I want to do in the future! I plan on bringing a lot of clothing and lot of different accessories (ex: fashion glasses, hats and purses). I also plan of opening a store in my state, which is very exciting!! I’m also always doing events and festivals, which I plan on documenting it all for you guys to see on YouTube.

 

What is your favourite accessory from your website? 

My favourite accessory? Oh boy I love so many but my top four will have to be the "Vintage Peace Bracelet", "Pearly Bow Necklace", the "DJ headphone Necklace", and the "Vintage Elephant Necklace"  They are all so unique and different, But I honestly have so many pieces that are my favourite its hard to pick. 

What your favourite fashion trends do you see for the winter/spring 2012?

With Luscious, there is going to be alot. For 2012 winter I plan to have a lot of new fashion jewellery, plus cute winter hats, scarf’s and gloves. They are all going to be cute and unique! And hopefully by then I will be offering cute clothing as well. For Summer/Spring 2012 I plan on have so many summer accessories like unique style shirts and tees along with cute summer accessories. It’s always going to be based on the new season fashion trends.

If you should pick three words to describe "LusciousAccessories", what would it be?

Fashionable, Unique, and Adorable! I work hard to bring my customers unique items at affordable prices.

What are some of your best-selling items you recommend every woman having in their jewellery collection? 

Differently our leather buckles bracelet, its super cute and edgy. Every girl should have something that is edgy. It’s not about the clothing, its all about how you accessorize. Another thing I recommend is the DJ headphone necklace. It’s a piece that will have everyone stopping you and commenting on, it so different and cute! Another big hit is the Tree oflife Jug necklace, the details are so unique. You can wear anything with this piece and it will bring any outfit together. There are just so many items that I would recommend with reasons but instead of an interview this will be a book lol. Everyone has their own styles, which I believe Luscious Accessories differs from other sites, because we have items for all styles and personalities.
